About May 16th, 2006

Who in the world am I? Ah, that’s the great puzzle. The fool on the hill, the genius in the gene, the faithful Son, a preacher stealin’ hearts at a trampoline show, the blind ambition of the band, the fox that makes the ravens fly, Flâneur, Sol Invictus, Zoros Astris, Natus ad maiora.
A few cultural references thrown in there, from U2 to Lewis Carroll, from ancient mysticism to my own wyrd.
I work in advertising. I believe that at the heart of any product lies an idea. An idea so powerful, that it is capable of raising a commodity to a product, a product to a brand. It is the idea that makes the brand intrinsic to the life of the consumer, makes it part of his or her life story.
These ideas are inevitably grounded in culture, not in industries or businesses or other categories we create. The best brands, the ones that truly stand out, are those that recognize these ideas and become cultural artifacts in themselves, capable of transmission, interpretation, evolution and renewal.
That’s where I come in, to connect the dots, to make things happen.
This blog is about big ideas with the power to change the World. Hold me to that, do.
Drop in a line, and say hi. If you’d like me to cover any ideas that exude awesomeness to you, email me at aditya [at] thepursuitofawesomeness [dot] com, or ping me on any of the social networks listed at adityaanupkumar.com.
